Legend tells of shape-shifting loup-garous, men who become wolves beneath the light of the full moon. Just as the loup-garou transforms, so too does Blue Dog.
Opening with a burst of zesty grapefruit, pink peppercorns, and aromatic rosemary, the vibrant citrus notes give way to spicy ginger and bergamot, evoking images of steaming Louisiana gumbos. The scent journeys into the shadowy swamps, picking up traces of ozone, cool marine notes, and earthy patchouli along the way.
At the heart lie contrasts and transitions–the civilized yet multi-faceted culture of New Orleans. Lavender fields and floral lilies soften the edges, while cardamom and tonka bean add warmth. Like the subject of Rodrigue’s paintings, Blue Dog contains multidimensional layers.
